Reaching the Unreached: Clothing with Eternal Impact
Imagine living your entire life without ever hearing the name of Jesus Christ. For billions of people around the world, this is a daily reality. Despite the prevalence of churches, Bibles, and Christian media in many countries, vast regions remain spiritually dark. In fact, missiologists estimate that there are over 7,000 unreached people groups—unique cultures and ethnicities with virtually no Christian presence—encompassing more than 3 billion souls (thetravelingteam.org) These men, women, and children have little to no access to the Gospel message.
This urgent spiritual need cannot be overstated. Every day, approximately 66,000 people die without ever hearing the good news of Jesus even once (messagemissions.com) That’s like 100 full jumbo jets crashing daily but with eternal consequences. Each of these lives matters deeply to God, yet they pass into eternity without the hope that many of us take for granted. It’s a sobering reminder that the Great Commission is far from finished, and that the call to reach the unreached is more pressing than ever.
At Bethel, we believe that even something as simple as a shirt can serve a higher purpose. Our Christian clothing brand was founded with a mission mindset: “faith you can wear, hope you can share.” That’s why 20% of our profit from every purchase goes directly to support the Joshua Project, a ministry dedicated to reaching the unreached. We are deeply convicted that business can be a platform for Kingdom impact, not just commerce.
